A long, long time ago, far away in a distant land—my career began as a fashion designer. Designing collections and finding inspiration started from my early years living in London, researching ideas and concepts, sourcing fabrics, noting historical references, admiring artists, and architecture, and locating inspirational travel destinations—so not much different than my current-day thought process as an editor, just no sketching.
