I am addicted to the song Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Ray, so I had to add my little ditty’ness to the title—a perfect summer soundtrack!

With summer comes, the joys of vacation, the sun, travelling, oh and heat—especially if you’re staying at home in Dallas.  This July the Spa at Equinox Highland Park has launched the Equinox Blueberry Regenerating Facial—perfect for hydrating hot tired skin. I haven’t tried it yet, but since I’m a member at the Preston Hollow location I might have to venture south to Oak Lawn for a little facial sustenance.

Apparently, the 50-minute miracle hydrates the skin with an infusion of essential antioxidants from those tasty little blueberries that help neutralise free radicals and reduce inflammation and redness. Less red means even skin tones and that porcelain perfection we all strive for.  It’s perfect for all skin types, especially dry and environmentally damaged skin…that would be me, the facial costs: $200.

The Spa at Equinox also added Rodial products to their skincare line-up with four services that are exclusively using Rodial products in the U.S.: three facials and one body treatment. All priced at $225 for 80 minutes.

Sculpt Facial: a facial that features products from Rodial’s Dragon’s Blood line, it’s extremely hydrating and focuses on moisturising the skin. This facial helps lift, contour and firm the skin and acts as a liquid face-lift—suitable for all skin types.

Freeze Facial: this facial features products from Rodial’s Snake Venom line. It targets expression lines, minimises the appearance of wrinkles and leaves the skin much tighter.

Sting Facial: featuring products from Rodial’s Bee Venom line, this anti-aging treatment is designed to lift, plump and brighten the skin with instant results.  We like that!

Extreme Makeover Body Treatment: a full body wrap that helps remove unwanted toxins from the body. The skin is exfoliated prior to the application of the wrap, and the wrap helps tone, firm and contour the body.

So I guess what this means—in order to stay out of the heat we need to spend the entire summer at the spa! Let me know if you try out any of these services and what you think of them.
