Pyjamas—my new obsession, well pyjama-style pants at least. I’ll leave the full throttle pyjama party mood to Marc Jacobs, but show me loose fitting, printed drawstring pants, and I’m interested. I recently made three purchases—camouflage at Haute Hippie, black and white swirl print at DVF, and all black tuxedo style at Vince. I’ve definitely got comfort on my mind; add a couple of layers, long shirt, t-shirt and a cropped jacket—easy breezy.
So I finally clicked my way through Resort 2014, and I’m amazed at the mass of accomplished collections for such an in-between delivery, the Spring 2014 collections are only two months away! The sport-inspired, relaxed styles from Fall have certainly continued through to Resort, with a nod to Marc’s pyjama party, and some designers have been hard at work designing rather large collections. My Resort faves include Chloe, Emma Cook, and Jonathan Saunders, and I’ve featured a few of my fave looks.
Black and white and white on white stories are still key looks, floral prints continue to bloom, and geometric prints are as bold as ever. Much like fall hints of red trickle through and soft tones of pink, beige and brown at Alexander Wang and Burberry add a feminine touch. Lastly, three adorable dresses that didn’t fit in my little stories, but totally adorable nonetheless.
