Style: From glamorous coats to dresses, here are a few fave styles I selected from Pre-Fall 2012. Pretty sharp looking—I love each one, yet they’re all completely different, who knew I was so multi-directional. Sexy, quirky, demure and sassy—my major must-have dresses for Pre-Fall 2012.
Rachel Zoe. I love an outfit that looks all prim and proper yet reveals a sense of mischievous style. Zoe salutes the sixties, mixing Jackie Kennedy style with the mod era and a mini hemline. I suppose this dress sums it all up really– the withquestion is can I pull off that short hemline, hmmm?
Band of Outsiders. Think Diane Keaton in the Woody Allen movie Manhattan—corduroy, plaids, and buttoned-up necklines. I love this dress very demure but with a sense of quirkiness.
Reed Krakoff. A collection that hosts a simple palette of black and white, while shots of vibrant green refreshingly pierce the eye, amidst blush pink, grey and brown. This dress adds shape to the waist and keeps the hips narrow—what more could you ask for. Must have!
Proenza Schouler. This is most definitely a quilted picker-upper, sorry couldn’t help it, but pun aside—I love this dress. Inspired by a recent trek through the Himalayas this collection reflects parkas, windbreakers and quilted coats in bold colors. A statement must-have dress, plus I think you could sleep in it.
