Born to be King, and third in line to the throne as the 43rd British monarch, it will be quite a while before newly born; HRH Prince of Cambridge George Alexander Louis takes the throne as King of England—Charles and William still have much to do!
This week WWD shared a precious baby story that featured baby gifts sketched by designers, I picked out my fave. Check out the punk Prince illustration by Dsquared2—an adorable t-shirt, with ‘God Save Granny’ (well really it would be Great Granny), Christian Lacroix designed the perfect regal perambulator (aka: pram), every mother needs a royal carriage, and considering 2013 is the Year of the Snake, Josie Natori’s little onesie, shows a dragon, but lets go with a snake for good luck. Add the Union Jack quilted cover designed by Nicole Miller, and this royal baby will be stylin’ in his pram. How adorable!
Royal fever piques in England, with a 41-gun salute this morning, 62 shots fired from a cannon at the Tower of London, and Trafalgar Square will shine blue for the next seven days.
Who needs reality shows, just watch the lives of The Cambridge’s unfold through every media outlet across the world? As a total Royalist, I am excited to see Princess Diana’s grandson grow up, he will be one very loved little happy chappy…hip, hip, hooray. Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Ahh!
