In the heat of the summer, wearing bright colours in sartorial splendour is perfectly apropos, but add a stripe to the mix, and your personal style is more sublime. There’s an abundance of beach styles and summer accessories in bright stripes, or subtle blue and white stripes—too many to choose from, but here are a few of my favourite styles.
A smiley face just makes you happy, and the colour yellow regardless of an emoticon self-perpetuates the idea of sunnier times ahead—and the added words ‘Have a Nice Day’, just makes life seem perfect. So for that perfect casual spring day, a t-shirt with a smiley face emblazoned across your chest is a positive way to start. If you’re feeling sunny, then these spring styles will put a smile on your face.
I’m in a red kind of mood, maybe that’s because, St. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, but also, all this grey weather is simply boring. Time to get lively, kick-off the cold weather blues and get red-hot chic. I’m palpitating for every style below.

I’m always last minute, very rarely do I plan an outfit for a special evening month’s in advance and New Year’s Eve is no exception. If you’re still pondering what to wear this Saturday night, and are relying on the Salvation of shopping online and shipping next day, then here are a few mix and match styles in silver and black.
Need a body-conscious ensemble—sexy in black, you can’t go wrong wearing Victoria Beckham, the Dolce and Gabbana metallic bicolor paillette dress screams silver screen goddess, but if you want to get serious in a pantsuit, the Saint Laurent star jacquard tux-style jacket and Alexander McQueen flared pants is a knock-out!
One for you and one for me, it’s hard shopping for all the lovely ladies in my life, because I always want to give a gift that I want as well. So the Gift Guide For Her – below, is a wish list for you, but really for me.
I still haven’t purchased this classic favourite; the Gucci Marmont mini-quilted leather shoulder bag, still a must-have! I love the selection of beautiful shades at Tom Ford, the Soleil Eye and Cheek Palette works well with most all skin shades, a great beauty gift. A Burberry bear, what’s not to love, this checked cashmere teddy bear keychain is a perfect little stocking filler. If you know a girlfriend, who is a great poker player, this is the chicest set ever, but if not, it simply makes for some stylish fun with these M’oda ‘Operandi exclusive playing cards by Peep’s Paper Products.
Beauty: For one long luxurious hour, I had the infinite pleasure of sitting tête-tête with Clive Christian over coffee at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas. And who is Mr Christian one might ask? Not only did he create the concept of designing exquisite kitchens with chandeliers as the focal point under his Clive Christian Interiors brand, but he is also the purveyor of the world’s most expensive perfumes.
In Dallas to attend the Neiman Marcus beauty conclave, Mr Christian dressed in all black—his signature style, from turtleneck attire to sharp black eye frames. With a proper British accent, our conversation evolved from sharing personal anecdotes of life in the motherland, our love for America and of course his incredible success in the luxury industry. The man is a business marketing genius and a modest one at that. In 2012, he was announced as a recipient on the Queen’s New Year’s Eve Honours List for his contributions as a designer to the British Luxury Goods industry—honoured as an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE).
