As I scroll through multiple photos of smiling and laughing faces, it’s evident that the common theme shared by everyone at MTV Re:Define on Friday, March 24 was simple—fun! And I’ll admit I’m completely biased as the event chair, so you don’t need to believe my opinion on how much fun everyone had that night, just ask someone else. Hands-down, this is my favourite gala on the social calendar of Dallas, and this particular night rocked—as it should do when it’s a collaboration with MTV!
Tally up an incredible art auction benefiting Dallas Contemporary and the MTV Staying Alive Foundation, honouring artist Eric Fischl, with a special tribute to George Michael, and a performance by the Queen of Funk Chaka Khan, then add an after party set by DJ Johnny Boy the evening’s celebrated designer Johnson Hartig of Libertine, along with beautiful DJ Dilettante, aka Chandra North, and BOOM (the theme of my Anya Hindmarch clutch I wore that night), an explosive evening, of fun, frivolity and good times, all in the name of philanthropy.
You can also read about the event on top-notch media outlets in the U.S, U.K and Germany. So do visit the Mirror, Bunte (only if you speak German), Whitewall, PaperCity, CultureMap, ArtNet, Forbes and Our New Monarch—thank you to all. I just want to share my favourite photos from the evening, and to thank everyone involved not mentioned in the media. So do read my giant ‘Thank-you’ list below…
