It’s a HUGE birthday celebration for the Dallas Contemporary in November, now housed at the Glass Street location in the trendy Design District for about three years. So for those who think DC is new, guess what, it’s celebrating 35 amazing years with a non-stop party: over 35 hours of exhibitions, learning programs and community events with 35 local artists. This is no snooze-a-thon!

Dallas Contemporary Alive For 35

Completely solicited…yes! I am on the board for the Dallas Contemporary, and of course I am going to share details on this special event.  Art is for everyone—and Peter Doroshenko and the DC team are busy creating a masterpiece of contemporary programming just for you.

Every hour on the hour a new event will start. Witness the mélange of mixed media art unveil from artist such as Vernon Fisher, James Gilbert, the SCAB collective, and Cassandra Emswiller, with artist performances, installations, videos, guest panels, watch a free midnight movie screening, renew at sunrise with a yoga class, picnic in the gallery, and participate in a cycling art tour.  The revelry and merry making will conclude with a bold birthday bash on Saturday from 9pm to midnight.
